Merner-Pfeiffer Library, built in 1941, contains over 100,000 volumes of books and reference materials. The building also contains an archives room where much of the college's records are stored. The library is completely automated and has access to the Appalachian College Association electronic library as well as interlibrary loans. The library is characterized by high arch windows and a spiral staircase. The remodeled archives room houses several one-of-a-kind items for the Methodist Church.
