Purchased as a dormitory, Blakeslee Hall was renovated into a residence for the President, who with his family often entertains college organizations as well as members of the community in the house. Original wood plank floors were refinished recently, and the Plantation shutters were replaced with shutters of the same era. The front door is original, the hardware stamped 1876. The addition of bathrooms and a kitchen are the only rooms not original.
